  Job Offer Village of Odell - Superintendent   Job Summary    Appointed by the Village Council, and under the direction and management of the Mayor, this position coordinates and supervises operations of the Village owned utilities and properties. It is a full-time position with days of work Monday through Friday and evening and weekend work required as job duties demand. Residency is required within Odell Township within six months of start date. Employment is subject to background check, drug screening & physical.     Duties and Responsibilities  Applies knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment to perform all regular and non-routine water system operations and maintenance, including lab and chemical work. Performs all activities necessary to maintain the village’s water treatment facilities and distribution system including Village maintenance and waste water. Twenty-four hour responsibility for effective operation of the Village water and sewer system. Monitors the operation of the water and sewer pumps. Coordinates preventative maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair activities. Participates in the submission of required reports in compliance with current rules and regulations. This to include but not limited to;   1) Monitors the performance of all equipment, gauges and charts in the assigned treatment plant and wells, maintains, operates, repairs, and replaces     equipment as necessary. 2) Shall order and maintain inventory on all parts, chemicals and other operating supplies. 3) Records statistical data concerning water treatment plant operations and maintains accurate records of analysis and test results; evaluates data and prepares reports. 4) Responsible for the collection of raw and treated water samples, identifies concentrations of chemical, physical, and biological characteristics of water as required in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. 5) Shall keep informed of all rules and regulations and [...]
