Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday July 10, 2023 a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

 

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell

Staff Present: Iris Thorne

Village Attorney Present: Nick Ehrgott

Guests Present: David Thorne, Don Emberling, Jim Farris, Sharon Farris and Jacob Negray

Minutes of the June 12, 2023 Regular Board Meeting

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the Minutes of the June 12, 2023 Regular Board Meeting; second by Trustee Tom Russell;

 

Approved by roll call vote:

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell-4; Nays: None

 

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Jim Rebholz was not in attendance. The June 2023 Treasurer’s Report and YTD Fund Summary was presented to the Board for approval. Reconciled balances for the month ending June 30, 2023 are as follows:

Monthly Bills

Board Listing Report #206 ran on July 10, 2023 at 3:37pm representing all bills for the Village due in July; Board Listing Report #205 ran on July 10, 2023 at 3:25pm representing all bills for Tourism due in July, and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for July for $6,286.35 were presented for payment approval.

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve Board Listing Report #206 ran on July 10, 2023 at 3:37pm representing all bills for the Village due in July; Board Listing Report #205 ran on July 10, 2023 at 3:25pm representing all bills for Tourism due in July, and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for July for $6,286.35; second by Trustee Randy Pagel;

Police Report

No representative from Livingston County Sheriff’s Office was present to review the Police Activity Report for Odell for the month of June.

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Planning Commission Recommendation

The Planning Commission recommends that the Village Board leave Morgan Street lying south and west of Deer Street as a dedicated street. Discussion continued between the Board and the interested parties. Attorney Ehrgott will work on composing proposals with easements.

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to table the Morgan Street Vacation issue until next month; second by Trustee Rodney Morris;

Mayor Mills reported that the Generator is still waiting on soft starts. The Vault behind Village Hall is completed.
