Village of Odell, Illinois
Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday June 08, 2015, a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm., at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Joyner presiding and with proper notice having been posted.
Roll Call
Roll call showed the following Trustee Members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Gary Wykes, Jamie Johnson, and Brian Mills.

Guests Present: Sgt. John Mitchell; Officer Brian Hoffmeyer; Phaela Hodges
Mayor Joyner called the meeting to order at 7:00pm., at which time a majority of a quorum was present
Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Joyner led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of the May 06, 2015 Regular Board Meeting
Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the minutes of the May 06, 2015 Regular Board Meeting as printed; second by Trustee Gary Wykes;

Treasurer’s Report
Iris Thorne reported that the Treasurer, Jim Rebholz, has supplied copies of an YTD Fund Summary and a MTD Treasurer’s Report. Bank balances for the month ending May 31, 2015 are as follows:

Oath of Office Phaela Hodges
Mayor Joyner administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Trustee Phaela Hodges.
Bills
Board Listing Report #833 ran on 06/08/15 at 1:28apm representing all due bills for the Village for June 2015, and Board Listing Report #834 ran on 06/08/15 at 2:13pm representing all due bills for Tourism for June 2015 were presented for payment approval.
Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve and pay all bills on the Board Listing Report dated June 08, 2015 ran at 1:28pm, list #833, and Board Listing Report dated June 08, 2015 ran at 2:13pm, list #834; second by Trustee Phaela Hodges;

Trustee Jamie Johnson requested that Ed Legner research as to if the Village should be paying property taxes on our Tourism property.
Police Report
Sgt. John Mitchell reported that according to the June 2015 Police Activity Report there were 19 calls; 0 warnings; and 1 citation(s) issued during the month of May. The board requested that our town officer enforce the Village NEV Ordinance. Sgt. Mitchell requested that the clerk send a current list of registered NEV owners.
OLD BUSINESS:
5-K Run – Brian Hoffmeyer
Officer Brian Hoffmeyer reported to the board that a total of 82 people participated in the 5-K Run with 73 runners and 9 walkers. The event netted $796.00 for the Special Olympics. The run is scheduled next year in Odell on May 21, 2016.
Clearwell Update
Attorney Legner informed the board that he will update the board on the clearwell litigation in executive session.
Miscellaneous New Business
Mayor Joyner reported that the car show at the Standard Station was a success.
Mayor Joyner also reported that the bid letting for our Route 66 Trail will take place on July 1, 2015.

Committees Recommendation
Mayor Joyner presented his committees recommendation for the fiscal year 2015-2016.
Fiscal Year 2015 – 2016 Working Budget
Ed Legner and Iris Thorne have worked on preparing the F/Y 2015 – 2016 working budget and presented it to the board. Iris Thorne explained that next month the Appropriation will be prepared based on the working budget.

Miscellaneous New Business
It was brought to the attention of the Village that on Tremont Street in the alley there appears to be people living in campers. Mayor Joyner will have this issue looked into.
Executive Session – Clearwell
Trustee Jamie Johnson moved to exit Regular Session and enter into Executive Session to discuss the Clearwell Litigation at 7:45pm; second by Brian Verdun;
